Maria graduated from Roanoke College in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Public Health. She continued her education at Methodist University where she received a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy in 2021.
Maria has been working in orthopedics and hand therapy since graduation, as she has special interest in various upper extremity injuries and conditions, as well as custom orthotic fabrication. Maria specializes in hand, wrist, and elbow rehabilitation and is dedicated to providing client-centered care to help her patients succeed. She believes that using a combination of manual therapy, neuro-muscular reeducation, and functional therapeutic activities sets her patients up for continued success. She is currently pursuing her Certified Hand Therapist credential (CHT).
In her free time, Maria enjoys group fitness classes, traveling, and trying new coffee shops in the DC area.
